BEGC-103 : INDIAN WRITING IN ENGLISH
Time : 3 Hours
Maximum Marks: 100
This paper has three Sections: A, B, and C. All Sections are compulsory though there is an internal choice within the Sections. Number of words and marks are given after each question.
Section—A
- Explain any four of the following passages with reference to the context, giving brief critical comments (150 words each) 4×5=20
- In this section, there will be six questions, out of six you have to write any four.
- Each question carries five marks
- For each question, you have to write in 150 word
- One side of a paper= 80 words
- 150 words=2 sides of a page,
- Usually, questions are asked from the poetry section,
- There will be selected lines from the different poems. You have to write context and critical comments on the lines.
Section—B
- Write short notes on any two of the following (in 250 words each) :
- In this section, there will be four questions. Out of four, you have to attempt any two.
- Each question carries 10 marks
- Here you can expect questions from all sections- Novels, poems, and short stories.
- Write each question in 250 words.
- 250 words = 3.5 sides of pages (approximately)
Section—C
Attempt any three of the following questions in about 600 words each. In the section, there will be four questions, out of four you have to answer only three. Each question carries 20 marks.
- In this section, there will be six questions
- you have to write any three out of six.
- You have to answer each question in 600 words.
- Approximately 600 words= 8 sides of the pages.
- The number of words on a page depends on your handwriting.
- In this section, you have to write answers to essay-type questions.
- It is important to divide your essay into different types of paragraphs like- Introduction, Body paragraph, and conclusion.
