What is a CV?

A curriculum vitae is commonly referred to as a CV. It is a summary of academic, professional, and personal achievements.This is an exposition of your skills, education, and experience. Curriculum vitae is the most important weapon for job hunting. With your CV or resume, you will promote yourself.

There are no set rules governing the length of your CV. Your career history, education, and achievements will decide the length of your CV.

If possible, try to keep it to one page. It looks overcrowded if it exceeds two sheets. If you write more than two pages, the employer has to spend too much time reading it.

Components of a CV.

In a CV, there will be different sections like

  • Contact information- Full Name, Home Address, Mobile Number.
  • Objective statement. For example:- To become a best manager in the field of marketing
  • Skills and Abilities.
  • Education qualification.
  • Experience
  • personal profile.
  • References- Contact details of teachers, supervisors, etc. with whom the employer can confirm your claims in the CV.

The Structure of a CV.

This is a simple structure of a CV. Whenever you apply for a profession or a job, this is not enough, then you have to be more creative. For the sake of your exam, this is enough.
