BEGLA-135 introduction.

Aim of the Course:

To improve your command over the English language, especially the improvement of four basic communication skills, such as reading, writing, speaking, and listening.

To improve your accuracy in the language. This course helps you to achieve accuracy in communication. It gives you practice in grammatical structures.

In each unit, there are different sections to improve four skills of communication.

Improve Reading skills

There is a reading comprehension section in each unit to improve reading skills. Reading of verities of reading comprehension passages helps you improve and acquire fluency in the language.

In each unit, there is a vocabulary section. It will enhance your collection of words.

In the listening section, there are recorded audios that can be used for the improvement of listening skills.

In each Unit, there is a vocabulary section that helps you to improve the collection of words and expressions that help you in improving your four basic skills of communication.

Apart from these, there is a grammar section as well. It helps you to understand different ways to construct different sentences.

Along with these sections, there is a pronunciation section as well. It helps you to understand the way how words and expressions can pronounce in different contexts.

In each section, there is also a section for writing skills where you have to learn how to write a short description

BEGLA 135 English in Daily Life Detailed Introduction

 To improve your command over the English language, especially the improvement of four basic communication skills, such as:

  •  Reading,
  • Writing,
  • Speaking 
  • Listening.

 In each unit of the different blocks, there are different sections:

  • Reading comprehension section.
  • Vocabulary Section
  • Grammar Section.
  • Pronunciation Section.
  • Speaking Section.
  • Writing Section.

Now let us have a look at each section one by one

  1. Reading Comprehension Section

In each unit, there will be a passage from the general topic for reading comprehension questions.

  • There will be a number of questions followed by the passage.
  • You have to answer those questions based on the passage.
  • In your term-end examination, there will be a question from this section.`

2. Vocabulary Section

 This section helps you to familiarise yourself with different words and expressions.

 It helps you to learn different words and their meaning, like idioms and their meaning.

 It teaches you different strategies or techniques to improve your vocabulary, like word maps.

 This section also teaches you many positive and negative expressions.

 This section also looks at different categories of words like synonyms, and antonyms.

 This section also teaches you formal and informal expressions that are commonly used in day-to-day life. Apart from these this section also looks at the word that we commonly used in describing people

3. Grammar Section.

  This section teaches you important rules and regulations and different grammatical items and categories

 It teaches you tenses like present tense, past tense, and future tense and how to use them in different contexts.  How to construct or form Wh questions and yes\no questions. It teaches you selected adverbs and how to use them in different sentences,

 Apart from these this section also looks at the active voice,  passive voice, phrasal verbs, etc.

4. Pronunciation Section

 This section helps you improve your speaking skills.

 This section helps you to practice the pronunciation of different words and expressions that we use in day-to-day life.

 This section also looks at syllables and word stress and how to mark stress on words.

5. Writing Section

 This section helps you to improve your writing skills. It highlights:

 How to prepare a descriptive writing

 How to write a paragraph

 How to write a report

 How to write or build a story.

6. Speaking section

 This section highlight different expressions to greet and farewell in different contexts

 This section tells you how to be polite in our conversations

 How to prepare a conversations or dialogues
